Review of 2009 Golf Drivers

There are so many companies making golf clubs currently. Every company have so many models which makes for many combinations. If you are a golfer, are you able to pick out the right golf clubs for yourself?

Companies have their own research department and come out with different technologies every year. Scroll more to read about some of the more popular manufacturers.

Cobra Golf has Camilo Villegas as their sponsor who is playing so well. The most expensive driver they carry is the Cobra L5V which promises maximum face area for its look.

Adams Golf is known for its hybrids but they also started to enter the arena of drivers in recent years. Their latest technology, the Adams Insight Tech A4 driver, has a street price of $370 and comes in loft 8.5, 9.5, and 10.5. It has a pretty traditional looking club head, and the curved shape is supposed to save weight.

Callaway Golf is very good at making clubs that are very forgiving. The FT-9 driver from Callaway is its latest and it’s a very good looking club head. It also sports a ton of different lofts and options (9,10,11 degrees neutral, 9,10,11,13 in draw, 8.5,9.5,10.5 in tou and 8.5,9.5,10.5 in tour draw).

Nike Golf catapulted into the golf scene with the endorsement of Tiger Woods. I’m sure they are hard at work and Tiger must love being able to test all the different options and help them in designing the golf clubs to golf balls.

Titleist is arguably one of the most popular brands in golf. While the Titleist 909D Comp only received a silver award in this year’s The Hot List, the 909D2/D3 won amazing awards and captured the gold. It also the leader in look/sound/feel category of all drivers tested in the over $350 series.

Ping Golf’s 2009 value driver offering is the G10. With a street price of only $300, this driver has lofts from 7.5 up to as high as 13.5 degrees. The standard length is well over 45 inches and it might be too long for people to have good control.

Taylormade golf is great because you can actually buy the drivers at Costco for an even better price than it is sold anywhere. The driver is nothing but quality though though. Just watch out for its increased length because it is much of the reason why the ball is going farther.

Cleveland Golf is a great brand ever since it started the Launcher series. I still play the Launcher 460 Comp and cannot find a driver head that works better for my swing. To say Cleveland makes good clubs is a huge understatement. I love Cleveland Golf.
