Maryland 2
The reason for this lush amount of environmental resource is because of Maryland’s soil composition, which is more sandy and holds water well, unlike those of a rocky composition that drains the water from the shallow regions easily. Maryland was one of the few states where the great glaciers of the Ice Age had failed to reach. This in turn, had caused Maryland to be devoid of almost all natural lakes, unlike its other sister states that would have at least one land-carved lake.
